Phillip is the founder and CEO of Cerenade, the technology company that makes eimmigration. He was one of the first people to start building digital tools for immigration attorneys.
Phillip knew from personal experience that the legal immigration process wasn’t easy. There was a ton of paperwork involved. In the early 90’s, nothing was digitized. Forms had to be filled out by hand and submitted via mail or fax.
So Phillip created a digital forms solution that allowed forms to be completed electronically before sending them off to the INS. It was an incredible time-saver for immigration attorneys. And e-forms caught on much faster than expected.
It quickly became apparent that software could solve many other challenges immigration attorneys were dealing with—like how hard it was to get complete information from clients, manage all their case documents, and stay updated on case status.
This prompted Phillip to develop the very first Windows-based immigration case management system in 1998—named EILA—to make it easier for immigration attorneys to manage their cases, clients, and forms.
These days, we have a robust solution called eimmigration.
The software has evolved a lot since its early days, including moving to the cloud and changing its name in 2016.
